Davido’s new artist, Liya lands in court for clubbing amid COVID-19 pandemic

DMW’s first lady, Liya was among those arrested and charged to court by the Lagos state commissioner of police for flouting the COVID 19 rule.

She was was among those arrested at a club by the Lagos state covid-19 task force for flaunting Covid-19 protocols.

Before her arrest, she shared a photo with Peruzzi via her Instagram account with the same dress she wore as at the time of her arrest.

Kemi Filani News earlier reported that the Lagos state police raided a nightclub at the wee hours of Saturday and arrested many fun-seekers.

The Lagos police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, revealed the attendees were arrested at about 1 a.m. on Saturday at a club in Surulere area of the state. He identified the club raided as Lounge 38, Bode Thomas, Surulere, He said the police team also arrested some residents and motorists for violating the 12 midnight to 4 a.m. curfew at Maryland.

The commissioner vowed to do everything possible with the ambit of the law to enforce the coronavirus orders and halt the spread of the pandemic in Lagos State.
